One Person, Start to Finish
Each family is supported by a single dedicated counselor throughout the entire process.
What Makes Us Different
A Culture of Care
Our company culture reflects our owners’ values: respect, compassion, and a personal touch.
What Families Experience
What makes us different isn’t just the services we provide — it’s the way we provide them.
“My father built this business by offering exceptional service on a very wholesome level,” explains Bridget Fetterly. “We continue this mission by guiding people through one of life’s most difficult times with the very best in expertise and loving hand-holding support.” When our funeral counsellors help families to plan for a traditional or contemporary funeral service, families are free to choose only those services that are meaningful to them and within their financial means. You will never experience pressure.

Since 1965
The Beginnings
In 1965, Thomas Kane sold his funeral home to young entrepreneur, Gary Fetterly.
Gary brought with him not only a strong business sense but also a deep understanding of the funeral profession, having learned the trade from his father, Hugh, who owned two funeral homes in the Montreal area.
Fully aware of the excellent reputation Kane had built over the years, Fetterly was committed to maintaining the same high standard of service for the community. Respecting that legacy, he simply added his own name to the business. Although Kane and Fetterly never worked together, the Kane Fetterly Funeral Home was born.
True to his promise, Fetterly quickly earned a reputation as one of Montreal’s most respected funeral directors, known for his dedication, compassion, and professionalism. After a long illness, he passed away, leaving behind a legacy of care that continues to define the funeral home today.
